I definitely don't recommend it, but you could try and see. I honestly think there are millions of better fantasy books out there though. I read a lot of fantasy YA actually, so if you want, I could tell you some of my favourites.
Thanks for your opinion. I world love to hear some of your favourites!

I really enjoyed the Twilight saga. It depends on your taste, of course. If you like authors who write a lot to tell you about the characters in their books, then you might enjoy it. If you prefer a sparser style, like The Hunger Games, for instance, you may not enjoy it.
I didn't read Twilight until after the fourth book came out because I didn't think I'd like it. Then I started reading it and finished the series in a week. It's a storyteller's story. I don't think it was meant to be some amazing work of literature, rather it's just fun. As long as you don't take stuff too seriously, I think it's a great series. If you're looking for urban fantasy/PNR also check out anything by Cassandra Clare - The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices. Both amazing series.
I loved the mortal instruments!
there are definitely better fantasy romance books out there!! I personally would recommend the Lux series (book 1: Obsidian) by Jennifer L. Armentrout or the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead as much better alternatives
